Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
From the Manufacturer The first Go-Kart Racing game to come out for the SNES. Featuring all of the Super Mario bunch like Mario, Luigi, King Koopa, Toadstool, and the almost forgotten Donkey Kong Jr. Collect many power ups like mushrooms to speed you up; throw Koopa shells or banana peels at your opponent's to slow them down, plus many more items. The Battle mode is an excellent two player game, use the split screen view to watch both players battle it out. Super Mario Kart is fun and exciting addition to family of Mario games.

5 out of 5 stars Hours of family fun   September 10, 2008
I bought this game as a 'kid friendly' game for my children. As it turns out our whole family, myself included, plays the game. It has become a staple for family fun night. I would recommend this game for anyone of any age. I am very pleased with this purchase.

1 out of 5 stars Super Mario Kart not as good as Mario Kart 64   April 26, 2008

I had a Nintendo 64, but missed the games on Super Nintendo; super mario world, sim city, pilot wings... I had Mario Kart for the N64 and really liked it, so when I bought a SNES I thought I'd get Mario Kart for that, however it's not nearly as good as it is on the N64. I was very much disappointed. However, in general, the games on SNES are much better then N64.

5 out of 5 stars best game of this kind EVER   April 17, 2008
I love this game. My only lament is that they won't bring out a second and third one just like it with different races and boards. (I haven't yet played the wii version), When they bring out new versions for new systems they always try to change and improve and in doing so they usually make it worse. Ths game was great! Not too childish, difficult enough to be fun, easy to control. If heaven exists god is up there playing like 100 sequels to this that are all equally good but different.
