Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars If you have a Game Gear, you NEED this   February 18, 2004
Sega Game Gear is a great system for people on a budget (Or people who simply like the games better than GameBoy games) but it has one true vice: the batteries. Because of it's backlit screen, the batteries get used up way too quickly. An AC adaptor is the best way to get constant playing time, not to mention it saves TONS of money. Believe me, it's worth the cost of buying it at a more expensive price now, because it will pay for itself in all the batteries you will save.

5 out of 5 stars My Third Game Gear   February 11, 2003
well it is my THIRD that should tell you how good it is.Bought my first one way back in the late 80 or very early 90.One was stolen - broke my heart - one, my grandchildren broke and now it is time to once again get my own. I have all the Sonic Games, actually more FUN compared to todays, for its size, the COLORS and SOUND one could call it a midged PS2 - i also play one of those, compared to any other HANDHELD? NO CONTEST! The LIGHTING is superb - my eyes can attest to that, i had them for 66 years no peripheral to accommodate is needed.

The game gear eats batteries up fast,so, an adapter is really necessary.
