Product Description 8 New Locations to Grind and Trick off everything in L.A., Tokyo, and Canada.
Amazon.com Review They say the third time's a charm, but what if everything was done right the first and second time around? That's the hurdle Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 faces, as previous entries in this series are regarded by most gamers as perfect. Difficult as it is to believe, Pro Skater 3 introduces enough new features and great skate parks to make it another must-buy for PlayStation owners. The biggest addition this time around is the revert, which when combined with the manual introduced in the previous game, lets players string together some amazing vert and grind combos. Once again, every ledge you see in the game is grindable, and the massive levels are packed with switches, hidden areas, and other secrets that will take months to fully explore (and exploit). Things are a little on the chunky side graphically, but that's to be expected with the PlayStation. Regardless, the animation is smooth and the frame rate stays high despite the enormous and complex environments this game lets players explore. The eclectic soundtrack--which features acts ranging from the Ramones to Del the Funky Homosapien--is another highlight, but it's still the Zen-like feeling you get from chaining together combo after outrageous combo that keeps you coming back for more. --T. Byrl Baker Pros: - Smooth animations
- Revert adds vert combos to the game
- Enormous skate areas
Cons: - No option to create female players
Amazon.com Product Description Tony Hawk brings you into his world yet again with all-new features that'll have you shredding even more cement. Skate all new global locations--Paris, Tokyo, L.A., and Canada. Test your skills in 10 massive real-world levels. Perform hundreds of the raddest tricks and combos in obstacle-filled locations with cars that honk at skaters or slam on their brakes as you board past them. Again, you can ride using the signature moves of Tony Hawk or any of the 11 pro skaters included in this release (it also includes Bam Margera of MTV fame). Or you can use the enhanced create-a-skater editor to choose female or kid skaters and select a varying range of features, such as hair, glasses, and tattoos, to customize their look. A variety of modes let you stick lip tricks, combos, nollies, and manuals, as well as shred like there's no tomorrow. All-new goals and rewards promise to challenge you even more than in earlier games. The upgraded career mode, for instance, gives players more character-specific goals. Special effects include sparks, blood, real-time weather, and natural disasters. And for the ultimate, expanded multiplayer modes and a skate park editor deliver increased replayability.

SWEET GAME! WORTH BUYING!!! March 17, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game is worth buying! If you like skateboarding, then get this game!. you might want to check out ebgames or game stop before buying this game. I bought mine at ebgames for $1.99 it's cheaper that way because you don't have to pay for shipping. I have tony hawk pro skater 2 for PS1 and i think this one is a whole lot better. One reason is tony hawk 2 has bad language in the music. So if you get one that say's E for everyone you don't have to hear @#$? all the time. The game has pretty good grafics for being a ps1 game. You can play as a pro skater or create your own look. There's a mode you can chose between free skate and regular mode. free skate you can do whatever you please but you don't get any further in the game. I highly recomend this game!
Not quite as good as Tony Hawk 4 but still great. Bye December 15, 2004 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I AM JUST A STUPID LITTLE KID WITH A RUNNY NOSE AND BAD GRADES AT SCHOOL. I'M EVEN FLUNKING PE. BUT ONE THING I CAN'T FLUNK IS VIDEO GAMES. AND I GOT AN A ON TONY HAWK 3.
This is the real reviewer speaking.
NO YOU'RE NOT.
Yes I am.
NO YOU'RE NOT.
Yes I am. Now I will proceed. It's like I said, this game isn't quite as good as Tony Hawk 4 (Little Person rules!) but it's still great, probably greater than Tony Hawk 2 except it's harder to get new tricks. OH! My Pop-Tarts are ready. Excuse me.
I'M BACK. YOU SEE, I GOT AN A ON TONY HAWK 3. I HAD A DREAM WHERE BAM MARGERA WAS MY TEACHER AND HE SAID SO. THEN I WOKE UP TO THE SMELL OF BURNING PLAYSTATION ONE CONSOLES! "MY GAME!" I CRIED. IT WAS REDUCED TO
a little snot nose like you! Stop butting in while I'm gone! Anyways, I'll do a rundown of the levels to make the review seem longer and more distinguished.
FOUNDRY: I like to fall into that yellow boiling stuff.
LOS ANGELES: I like to fall off the buildings and the elevator rail.
RIO DE JANIERO: I like to fall when I'm doing the UNBELIEVABLE GAP!
SUBURBIA: I like falling off the roofs.
AIRPORT: I like falling off the plane.
SKATER ISLAND: No good places to fall. Oh well. This is a cool level. It's got an indoor section and an outdoor section. The indoor section is awesome. It's filled to the brim with ramps, rails, and gaps. The outdoor section is just a ramp, another ramp, some rails, and some benches. Not that great.
CANADA: I like to fall into the snow.
TOKYO: I like to fall off that big greasy thing.
DOWNHILL: (secret level) Haven't played yet because I haven't unlocked it stupid.
Anyways, I like to bail. That's the best part of the game.
about the game and bad stuff January 29, 2004 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 is cool. But THPS2 is better `cause for one thing, for me,somehow the people are in Tony Hawk's Pro skater 3 grey.Maybe Bam took Bob's place `cause Activision wanted a new skater and Bob was in 2 cd`s,like Rodney.(I think when Rodney was grinding but did'nt look like it,actually was doing manuals.)Skater island is tough. There's not many combos even so,there long.I actually made grinding that handrail and I`m 9 years old! I got 70,000 points.I started THPS2 on a cruise.I was 8 then.I remembered only getting 4191.THPS3 is good.Suburbia STINKS!!! There's no combos there. The airport was so cool.It had good level goals EXEPT stopping the Pickpockets and getting the secret tape.In Tokyo,I bailed once and got 119,023!

Purchased game for my playstation wiz kid. He loves all Tony Hawks' games. He now has my 5 yr old playing like a pro! He has all the games. My enjoyment is seeing his enjoyment while playing the games --- he actually does the moves while playing. It is definitely a TREAT!
