The best July 22, 2004 Jake (North Camden,New Jersey) All you losers who sayed this game sucks your wrong. You just dont know how to play it.The best part is making your own charecter and make him the best.It has alot of detail in Dynasty Mode with the player retiring and the draft picks and trades. And the retiring jerseys. This game is the best NBA LIVE game yet. PEACE, King JV
Bad July 8, 2004 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
This game is very bad. I went and bought it and was surprised by how bad the controls. That is what probably makes this game not very fun to play.
NBA Live Has Come to Life June 20, 2004 Although you probably have played previous versions of this game I can already tell you this is not the typical sequel to an already great game. This video game has many things to offer from the new freestyle controls and the brand new dynasty mode (which is like owning your own NBA team) to the broadcasting (Which is done play by play by hall of famer Marv Albert and Mike "The Czar" fratello) and new EA SPORTS trax with performances from Jermaine Dupri, Sean Paul, Chingy, Freeway, Black Eyed Peas, and more. Although in this game the sound graphics and controls are almost perfect, the downside is that the videos are kind of old, and the rosters are kind of out of date.
Average Basketball Sim but NO 3-Point Shootout! May 29, 2004 J. Brittman (Long Island, New York) EA generally does a good job with sports titles. NBA Live 2004 is a bit of a regression for the company. The game is servicable, the graphics OK and the gameplay average. But, coming from such a highly regarded video game maker this game should have been much better. For instance, the menu and navigation are confusing to say the least. Trying the Dynasty mode's fantasy draft it took me awhile to learn how to order my picks and positions. The absence of a 3-point shootout really takes away from this title for me. What EA did include was a practice mode which I couldn't care less about. Bottom Line, EA Sports NBA Live 2004 is not worth the money but maybe a rental. Hopefully '05 will be better. Not Recommended.
Best NBA live yet!!!! April 18, 2004 shorty1992 (somewhere in the world) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This game is by far the best NBA live game! The graphics are good, the gameplay is realistic. For example, when you create a player and you make him perfect they don't make every shot unlike in NBA live 03 were they do make every shot. I like how they added the option to dunk/lay up or just shot the ball.If you have liked NBA live games then you should spend your money on this game!
