DONT BUY! March 5, 2006 Madcatz memory card for gamecube.. dont waste your money, i can also testify of things being deleted, i had mario power tennis, a winter sports game and NHL 04 05 and 06 about 2 years of saved data on that card, still lots of memory left too, and the other day i go to load a dynasty mode and its gone!!! i checked the memory card, it self deleted everything i had ever saved, now i just feel like buying a new gaming machine thats better than game cube and start over with that cause i dont want to start over with games that took me 2 years to get to that point! sooo frusterating!
Maybe I was lucky January 30, 2006 I used this memory card for about a month as I played through Zelda: Wind Waker. Everyday I loaded & saved my game on this memory card, and I haven't had any problems with it. For me, it did what it was supposed to do.
Don't take a chance. January 7, 2006 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
At first, it may seem like a good idea to buy a memory card 3rd party because you are saving money. As memory cards are very important, you don't want to take a chance by buying a crap memory card that corrupts your data. I've bought two madcatz memory cards for my gamecube, and both have corrupted my data. The latest memory card corrupted my data after only a week. I should have learned the first time. Listen, there will be people who have had good experiences with these things and I don't doubt that, but trust me, you are taking a chance by buying a memory card 3rd party. It's not fun when all your data saved up from a year gets corrupted. Spend the extra money and buy a card made from Nintendo (although this applies to all consoles).
Cheaper and just as good. December 28, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Though I generally don't care for MadCatz's third party controllers (analog sticks are way too loose), their memory cards work perfectly well in my experiences with them. I'd recommend them for anyone who wants to save a few bucks and get something just as good as an official Nintendo product.
Never buy memory cards third party! July 22, 2005 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
Although it appears you're getting a good deal for this, EVERYTHING that MadCatz sells is pure crap. I have one of their PS memory cards and it just stopped working out of nowhere and is no longer recognized on my system. Always, always, always buy OFFICIAL memory cards from Nintendo, Sony or Microsoft or whatever. These 3rd party companies are horrifically bad and are only interested in stealing your money. Ignore the price, and go for the quality. It's a trade off of a few dollars for a whole lot of frusturation.
