 Must have for RB September 7, 2008
This metal billet with hinge should have come with Rock Band. It makes a huge difference in how I play, and it is solid and easy to install. Transaction was flawless, shipping was fast, and this guy and his pedal are my heroes.
 Maybe you shouldn't buy the hinge one- September 4, 2008
I used this to repair my fractured pedal, and it worked like a charm. The pricing is fair, the delivery was quick, the instructions were clear and printed on nice paper with pictures. After a couple months of use (bought in February) The plastic hinge part broke on me at a barbecue over the summer. I've read other reviews about the hinge breaking, too. Even when the pedal is properly smooth there is still rubbing done on the plastic which will eventually snap it. I think buying the one without the hinge would be a better idea since the hinge is already sturdy enough. Most breaks occur in the middle of the pedal, and the plate guards against that. The only time there is a break on the hinge is when you play with your heel over it. Your heel should be on the smaller plate at the base of the pedal. If you stomp above that then it will break. Since the plastic hinge broke and I already threw away the factory metal rod hinge, I just bought a whole new set and applied the metal plate to the new pedal. Even without the hinge it works like a charm and it looks great.

I was shocked when the original bass pedal snapped on me. I just sat there for a few moments in utter disbelief... I frantically looked for a replacement and found a few forums that had links to new pedals, new and improved pedals... I then found this one and it has worked like a charm, sturdy and it feels like you could mash on it with all your might for eternity. I am glad I got one, thanks.
