Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Pro Pedals feature a realistic forward and back pedal motion for flying, as well as a pivot movement for driving games. They're a great companion to CH Product's line of joysticks and flight yokes. For flying, Pro Pedals work as rudders and toe brakes, while for driving they give you extra support and power to accelerate or brake. They're made to withstand the toughest competitor. Designed with rugged, durable components, Pro Pedals will last longer and endure more wear-and-tear than ordinary pedals on the market. Hook Pro Pedals up with your favorite CH Products joystick and take off!

From the Manufacturer
Get the most out of your flight simulator with the Pro Pedals USB Flight Simulator Pedals. These responsive pedals deliver a smooth, highly realistic flying experience where you control the plane's rudder with your feet rather than a joystick. These pedals let you feel accurate forward and backward sliding motion for rudder input to control yaw axis. Pressure-sensitive heel-toe motion gives you terrific feedback for differential toe braking control. Gain better, more realistic control of your virtual aircraft and take simulated flight to the next level.

Pro Pedals USB can also be used for driving simulation games.

4 out of 5 stars Not without fault   September 1, 2008
They make flying a lot more enjoyable on landings. But the brakes get stuck from time to time, and I have to either press both brakes or move the pedels to free them up. It's a little annoying especially when taxiing to or from the runway. They do beat the alternative. And that's not having them.

4 out of 5 stars Good, but needs damping   August 18, 2008
I love them! They completely change my simulator experience and I'm actually getting better at making coordinated turns.

The one thing I would change is the feedback. Right now, the feet oppose each other and provide the only resistance. This is a little different than in an actual airplane, where there is inertia and wind resistance. It's too easy to move, and I have a hard time making precise small movements without tensing up both of my legs. Some sort of damping or resistance in the mechanism would make these perfect. I don't know if anything out there actually has different resistance.

5 out of 5 stars Worth the upgrade from the twist stick   August 8, 2008
The CH Pro Pedals add a lot of realism to the flight simulator experience. It took a few sessions to de-program myself from wanting to twist the throttle stick (my rudder control before getting the Pro Pedals). The pedals allow you to get that muscle memory and familiarity with the real world controls. When I first started using them, I intuitively wanted to push the right foot forward to go left, as if I was controlling a steering wheel with my feet or driving a tank. I'd hate to make a beginner mistake like that on a real plane! The pedals are of good quality, a little heavier than expected which helps them stay in place even on some carpets. I agree with some of the comments about the pedals being a little close together - I would like them farther apart. I also think the cord in the back should not stick directly out from the back, as it will be stressed if you have a tendency to push the pedal base against a wall. Overall recommended for anyone looking to enhance the realism of their flight simulator experience.

3 out of 5 stars The jury is still out.   June 2, 2008
It may be a setting, but the pedals are unusually sensitive. It might be me so I will update this if I find that I could tweek it.

5 out of 5 stars Correcting for Yaw   May 18, 2008

In the world of flight simulation, there are many ways to pilot the aircraft that come with the programs. For a couple of years after getting my first computer, I was held to the keyboard and later adding the mouse for controlling various planes and helicopters. It wasn't to hard to control, but certainly not very realistic.
Having enough of those controls, I got a joystick with minimal axis control, but definitely better than the keyboard/mouse route. After a couple of computers along came a force feedback joystick with twist motion for yaw control. That was a great big step up in terms of precise control, especially on or near the ground. I still had to use buttons to handle differential breaking or braking at all, but it was really a time-saver in terms of steering the taxiways and multitude of runways at larger airports.
Today I own an iMac computer and I am using X-Plane version 9. The best part is however, I am on Day 3 with the CH Rudder Pedals. Unbelievable!!! Differential Toe Brakes, who would have thought that could be so great? And as in real-life aviation, I fly a VFR Skyhawk, I can see the position of the plane in a turn and add or lessen the amount of Rudder deflection. For an amateur Flight Sim enthusiast, you would be amazed at the control you now have. Reality never felt so REAL!
