Generally cables under $8.00 can NOT be made up to current standards due to the current cost of copper increases! These "knock-off" cables will NOT provide full signal strenght from your PC/Projector and rarely support a clear 1080p picture. We suggest purchasing from a seller that distinguishes this difference in their notes field.

Amazon.com Product Description HDMI (high-definition multimedia interface) to DVI-D is a small, user-friendly interconnect that provides up to 5 Gbps of bandwidth to support high-definition video, plus multichannel audio in a single cable. The digital visual interface (DVI) is a video interface designed to maximize the visual quality of digital display devices such as flat panel LCD computer displays and digital projectors. It is designed primarily for carrying uncompressed digital video data to a display. All interconnects are designed to suppress RF interference and to ensure a clean signal path is maintained. The HDMI to DVI-D cable supports video resolutions up to 1920x1080 and data rates to 5 Gbps. This superior cable features fully molded construction with a flexible satin-black PVC jacket and 24-karat gold-plated contacts. A great choice for high-performance computer graphics, HDTV, and presentation applications, the HDMI cable measures 6 feet long.
Product Description One 6.5 foot gold wire HDMI to DVI/DVI to HDMI cable for all your video needs. Connect your DVI computer output to your HD plasma screen. It worked December 28, 2008 Eugene Flores (Boston, MA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product worked well with my set up using an HDTV receiver connected to my 22' flat screen computer monitor to view cable when computer is not in use. I have no way to compare it to other products but this one works fine.
Perfect December 24, 2008 Jacob L. Salazar (Seattle, WA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I hooked my computer up to my 37 inch lcd HDTV and it is a perfect picture. wasn't hard to set up i would recommend this to anyone who wants HD quality.
Great cable December 20, 2008 Pace Picante (New York City) With an HDMI cable, quality (meaning price) is not an issue. As long as it transmits the information, it works just as well as any much more expensive cable. This is a version 1.3 HDMI cable (which is the most advanced version out there). I have one from my Sony Blu-ray hooked up to my Onkyo TX-SR606, and another from the Onkyo to my Samsung LCD. The picture and sound is beautiful.
It is what it is December 5, 2008 Jose Luis Herrera it works and its not too cheap feeling i used it to connect my ps3 to my monitor one down thing is my ps3 has no headphone jack so i get no sound but that has nothing to do with this cord overall the pic was good and the price not bad
No problems on both Windows and Mac OS X November 29, 2008 Paul (Los Angeles, CA, USA) I'm using this cable with a late-2007 MacBook Pro 15" under Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard and Windows XP SP3 (with Boot Camp). The HDMI end is plugged into a 720p projector. In both operating systems, this cable has worked perfectly, without any problems whatsoever. Works great for playing video games, watching TV shows online, etc. As far as reliability is concerned, I've had it since August 2008 and no problems so far. As another reviewer pointed out, it's worth noting that the cable color itself is definitely a light gray and not the black that is shown on the product page. I'll upload a picture at some point showing this.
