Product Description
Get into bone chilling, pressure-packed hunting situations as you seek out savage animals in the world's most dangerous locations. In Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2009, you will face raw danger as you encounter the fiercest animals on earth, including lions, grizzly bears, jaguars and more. Accurately modeled Cabela's equipment in the game means the firearms, tactics and gear are all realistic and precise - but this won't always help in the face of an unpredictable, open environment packed with avalanches, elephant stampedes, and piranha infested waters. If you do miss a shot and fail to stop a charging man-eating animal, you will be forced to fight it via a melee defense - but pay attention; it's likely another nearby animal will join the attack.

5 out of 5 stars Addicting...   January 7, 2009

This game is more difficult than Big Game Hunter but it is fun and addicting. There are alot more animals to hunt and different animals throughout each hunt.

4 out of 5 stars If you are having trouble...   January 4, 2009

This game is very difficult, but very addictive. There are many many things that are not in the guide and you have to learn on your own. When you play it the first few times do the career mode and save your hunts. The career mode kind of walks you through playing and you will not be as frustrated as I was when I got eaten by a lion for the 75th time. Also if you use the zapper, it is alot easier. Just make sure it is in zapper mode.(It will ask you.) I bought this game for my husband and have destroyed many of the levels along with him! It is seriously time consuming but so worth it!

I purchased this game for my husband for Christmas. I did some research and saw that the previous reviews weren't stellar and told him this, but he still insisted he wanted it. He's an avid hunter and wanted a game related to his passion. Unfortunately he didn't enjoy the experience.

The directions could have been more detailed and there weren't many options to select how you wanted to hunt. It was extremely frustrating that many animals would be found, but there was a stipulation that they couldn't be shot until the game "allowed" you to shoot them. We purchased a wii gun to better the game experience, but quickly we learned there were more options available when using the wii remotes.

In the end, my husband grew very bored and probably won't be playing this game too often. He told me he should have listened to the other reviews and what I had said, but for the price, I wish I had been wrong.

Played the game for hours and hours! Bought a Wii gun to use with it, but it wasn't as useful as I thought.

3 out of 5 stars Good gameplay, a little disorienting.   December 27, 2008

The game is pretty fun, but the field of view is narrow, and some of the animals you dn't know what to do and you are unable to ain at them.
