the Ishimura's communications, but arrives to find a floating vessel that has become a complete bloodbath. The crew is mutilated and infected with an ancient alien scourge. Clarke's repair mission is transformed to one of survival as he fights to save himself and return the artifact to the planet at any cost.

Fight with Weapons and Telekinesis
The alien hordes are incredibly resilient. You'll have to find creative ways to neutralize the attacking enemies by shearing off limbs with powerful weapons. And when the ammo runs out you'll be thankful that you can use your telekinetic powers to pick up objects (even the aliens' own severed arms and legs) and hurl them at your advancing enemies.

EA delivers an incredibly frightening experience with state-of-the-art graphics and effects, an audio system that will have you jumping out of your seat, and a truly horrific atmosphere that is permeated with death, mutilation, and despair. You'll have to be resilient to slash through the alien onslaught and stop this virulent scourge. As you explore the ship, the tragic story of the USG Ishimura will unfold in gory detail as you discover frantic logs from the hideously transformed crew in their final days.

1 out of 5 stars Can't get past the asteroid shooting problem   January 7, 2009

At first, I loved this game. Then I got to the point where your character has to shoot asteroids in order to survive. I've tried about 30 times, and still get killed. One cannot continue the game unless one successfully gets past this asteroid nonsense. I've decided to give up on the game and throw it away. Even if I get past the asteroids this one time, I will just have to do it all over again the next time I play the game. I don't want to go through this torture again.

Aboslutely incredible gaming. Gorgeous graphics, clever integration of stats (ammo, health, etc), no visual clutter, a great soundtrack, and an INTENSE gaming experince. I can't wait for Dead Space 2!

5 out of 5 stars Make sure you have a 5.1+ surround sound system to really experience this.   January 1, 2009

This is an amazing game. Graphics, storyline, gameplay, are all top notch. What really sets it apart from anything else, however, is the atmosphere. I really recommend having a 5 speaker surround sound setup to truly enjoy all the vibe this game has to offer.

i have been playing this game since i have gotten it and i love it. it is very suspenseful and scary at times with things that jump at you. it can be somewhat challenging at times requiring me to redo some points of the game but i did not want a game that i could beat in a few days.

great game for the money when i got it.
