Im not much of a reviewer, and I hear that some people MAY have had problems with sound, but this game is a work of art to me. I LOVED it, and cant wait to play it again..... and again.

4 out of 5 stars Good game. Get your aggressions out.   November 2, 2008

After playing the demo, a friend and I had so much fun with it we both decided to buy a copy of this game. The game is so satisfying to play because you are constantly involved in a vicious melee with groups of psychos. You can beat them up with fists or whatever random items are strewn throughout the game. The game takes the focus off guns as weapons and instead invites you to use ANYTHING else. All the fighting in the game is solid and you are able to pull off decent combos and such all in first person mode. They do this very well and I wish other games used this style of solid melee combat because there is so much they let you do with it here. The game is exceedingly violent both vocally and visually, but you will no doubt enjoy breaking a gumball machine over someone's head.

Outside of that, there isn't a single place in the game where I didn't have my flashlight out. It got a bit annoying, but not as bad as Doom 3 for cheap thrills. The game has some scary spots, but the whole time you feel a general feeling of unease and creepiness. I liked the atmosphere and hope to play another game like this. Once finished with single player, you can beat up computer enemies all day in a fight club mode that respawns forever. You can also go online and punch out people there (an option I have not tried, only "Youtubed"). Id say it's at least worth a rent if not worth owning the game. Im a proud owner and am looking into getting the first game for PC.

It looks cool, but I never finished teh game cause I got tired of straining my eyes to see the screen.

The reviews pin this game about average. But surprisingly my wife found the demo interesting. So I bought it any way. The game isn't perfect, but the story, decent combat engine, and CSI style forensic game play will have you wishing it was longer. This game is definitely work a play through. If you like horror, even a little bit, and are sick of the typical resident evils and silent hills, look no further and give this game a shot.
