Great Device. November 16, 2008 While this is a great bluetooth adapter, you have to be careful, the sides are very sharp and it is dangerous.
I use it along with my blackberry while on the road.
Recommended.
Haven't removed it from my laptop yet October 15, 2008 I bought this because I wanted a Bluetooth dongle I could always keep connected to my laptop, even as I carried it around in my not-too-well-padded backpack.
It's been flawless. Doesn't get in the way, and I've been able to use all the Bluetooth services I need. It sticks out about a centimeter, you wouldn't know it's there if I didn't point it out. My most common use is pushing photos from my phone. It's quick and intuitive with the included software.
With Vista, the software packaged with it is pretty much a must. That's a bit of a drawback, what with Vista's pretty well fleshed out Bluetooth support being built in. Vista only discovered the virtual COM port service with native drivers.
Good Buy October 15, 2008 I purchased this product after a little bit of researching around the net because I was looking for a way to sync my phone up with my laptop. Upon coming to this product I was surprised to see how small it was and despite a mixed set of both positive and negative reviews (more positive than negative) I decided to purchase this and try it out for myself.
And may I say WOW. This adapter is so tiny that I never have to take it out of my laptop and even if I'm trying to save power I can turn off the Bluetooth Radio which turns off the searching and trying to connect.
It has worked flawlessly with my Motorola Razr V3 and I've had no problems with it keeping a sync up. The range is limited to fairly close I didn't measure it so this might not be the best product if you are looking for something that is going to go across the room, but for someone who is going to be near their computer anyways and are looking for a way to sync up I would suggest this little guy to anyone.
This little buger works great. October 12, 2008 This is a great bluetooth input. I can walk a good 10 feet away while talking on Skype using a Plantronics 510 bluetooth earpiece. Only con is it doesn't work correctly with windows drivers and you must use the accompanied mini cd before plugging in the bluetooth dongle or everything will go crazy.
USB Micro Bluetooth September 23, 2008 I use the default windows drivers, the Toshiba stack doesn't work too well. Other than that, awesome product works well in vista and ubuntu.
