  Footie sleeper in bigger sizes! September 7, 2008
With an adorable print of a puppy on a tropical island, this lightweight sleeper is great in that it comes in larger sizes -- I was getting desperate as my son was outgrowing the 9-month sleepwear at 7 months of age and I still wanted to put him in these convenient one-pieces with feet for sleeping. This isn't the highest quality -- those who are used to Carter's are going to notice that right away -- but it's not terrible either. The print does spread out as it stretches, and the fabric is on the thin side -- which was great for us in the San Francisco cooler summer weather. They look very long and thin, but they do stretch a good deal. The feet have elastic to help keep them on which is both good (he can't pull his feet out of them as easily like he does on others) and bad (as he nears the end of the size-range they start becoming a bit too tight and leaving faint marks in the morning). I'd say the sizing chart they offer is spot-on -- my son is at the very end of the 12-month size in both height and weight and the 12-month sleepers fit him like a glove. I'm ordering their fleece sleepers for winter in the next size up, as he'll outgrow these in a pound or two.

These were the perfect pj's for our son. We have had several (5 or more) in 6-9, 12, 18 and 24 months. No worries about the snaps coming undone at night, and always fits him well. Plus, the feet have traction to help with standing and walking. Washed well, did not shrink. However, fitting so well, may need to size up (especially if you have a large baby or toddler - for example, 25 pounds at 9 months, 18 month pj's fit the best).

I bought a few of these at the Place store on sale and have fallen in love with them! My 6 mos. old is a warm little guy who likes to kick covers off so we wanted to keep him warm. These are light weight but keep him warm enough without covers. They also fit snuggly, but not too tight. He always looks so cuddly before he goes to bed, makes me want to have the same pj's as him! A must have for every parent, he will wear these till he can't fit in their largest size!
