LucasArts has confirmed that Star Wars: Battlefront has gone gold, and will ship for the Playstation 2, Xbox, and PC on September 21. This also coincides with the Star Wars Trilogy DVD set being released the same day.
Star Wars: Battlefront will be an intense, open-ended single and multiplayer game set in the Star Wars universe that will let fans re-live the action of the epic battles from the movies and prequels. Console and PC players can look forward to free form multiplayer combat, as well as a robust single-player mode featuring “Historical Campaigns” and “Galactic Conquest.”
