Square Enix reshuffles exec posts.

Square Enix released information today concerning the advancement of Daishiro Okada, formerly the president and chief operating officer, to his position as vice chairman of the company. To take over the position of president is John Yamamoto, who currently is in charge of Square Enix Ltd which is the European branch of Square Enix Ltd. Mr. Yamamoto will be taking over from Yoichi Wada to assume the capacity of chief executive officer along with being appointed to be the executive officer of Square Enix. Mr. Wada offered these words on the appointment of Mr. Yamamoto: "We are excited that John will be joining our senior leadership in North America, and we will benefit immensely from his experience. John's proven track record as a senior executive and his strong understanding of our industry make him an ideal candidate to help lead our North American initiatives."

Mr. Yamamoto will continue to main that expansion of Square Enix's assets on the North American continent while using his 20 experience in the industry while maintaining his position at the European branch.. Mr. Okada's role, as vice chairman, will be to take charge of the corporate advances and business planning while the company continues to expand.
