SEGA confirms PS3 launch titles

In a recent interview, SEGA's vice president of marketing, Scott Steinberg, talked about the publishers commitment to third party support at the launch of the PS3.

Steinberg states, "We've got Sonic the Hedgehog in its original naming convention… It'll be a launch title for the PS3. We have Full Auto 2: Battlelines, that's shipping with the launch of the PS3. Then Virtua Fighter 5 will be in March,"

This comes as music to Sony's ear as the company is trying to gain momentum heading into the November release of the PS3. Only a few publishers have confirmed release dates for their PS3 titles, but a few (namely Call of Duty 3 and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance) have been slotted for November release dates.

Although SEGA is committed to supporting all three of the next generation systems, confirmation of launch day titles is nothing but good news as Sony hopes to add as many titles as possible before the PS3's launch.
