Midway Goes Portable…Twice

Midway Games has recently announced that they will be creating two new titles for the leading handheld platforms, the DS and PSP.  Touchmaster for the DS is a wide display of mini-games popularized by Midway’s own Touchmaster counter-top-touch-screen arcade systems.  Currently, this title is scheduled to be released sometime in June 2007.

Also with a summer released date, Midway plans to release Hot Brain for the PSP, a smorgasbord of brain-teasers, puzzles, and brain challenges.

"With both Touchmaster DS for Nintendo DS and Hot Brain for PSP, we're
able to tap into our experience with the casual market to create games
that work perfectly with the unique controls and features of each
portable system," said Steve Allison, chief marketing officer, Midway.
"Both titles will be able to provide quick three-minute gameplay
experiences or extended play-session with puzzles, card games, brain
teasers, trivia and more."

Touchmaster DS will feature 23 of Midway’s class Touchmaster games such as Solitaire, Mah Jongg, Hot Hoops, and Trivia.  Using the touchscreen control, should mimic the arcade version quite nicely.

Utilizing the voice talent of Fred Willard (best in Show Anchorman), Hot Brain for the PSP will activate your brain functionally in the areas of memory, math, logic, and language.  Both titles are exclusive for each system.
