Transworld Surf

When is the last time that a truly good surfing game has been released? I can't think of any good ones that I have ever played until this one. For every boarding sport there is one great game. For instance, for snowboarding there is SSX, and for Skateboarding there is Tony Hawk Pro Skater. For surfing this has to be the one game that will become the next SSX of Tony Hawk. If you think about it for a while, it must be tricky to make a surfing game because of not knowing what angle to capture when a trick is being preformed. This game did an excellent job at finding the perfect angle so you can always see what you are doing. This game also combines tricks from different games to make new and improved ones. You can do tons of different moves and combos of all types. There were some flaws in the physics portion of this game, but because the physics and gravity of a surfing game are so hard to portray in a video game, we can't take too much away from this game for that flaw.

Unlike most games, the best feature of this game is probably the sound. Most games usually focus on the game play and graphics but this game uncommonly focused on the audio. This may be because when you think of a surfing game, the idea of a beach boy's type rhythm pops into your head and this game fills that idea perfectly. The game play of this game is real good because of how it differs from other boarding games. If someone went at this game as if it was a skate boarding game then they would be hit hard because of how much different the fundamentals of surfing are from those of other sports.

Overall, this game was great and kept me wanting more for hours and hours . There were also several modes in this game that included different competitions, a free ride mode, and a career type mode. This game featured over 13 different boarders that all had their own moves. There were a few unrealistic factors about this game such as getting eaten by a shark, but overall I would recommend this game to anyone who likes surfing and wants to learn more about it.
