Crazy Taxi

Crazy Taxi has finally ventured to the Gamecube after a stunning start on the Dreamcast console and the Playstation 2 console. This Game is very simple. The objective of this game is to pick up as many customers quickly and drop them off at wherever they want to go. As one of four taxi drivers, you compete to earn the most money from serving the most people. You also can get bonuses for dropping people off as quickly as you can. But watch out, if you take too long, your customers will jump out of the cab taking away all of the points that you would have earned. In another mode of this game you are timed and every time you successfully deliver a customer you get time added to your clock. Your mission is to keep on dropping off customers to keep the game going. Other options in this game include just driving for a set amount of time.

One of the nice features of this game is the new city. The background and scenery in this game is definitely a lot better than it was in the Dreamcast and Playstation 2 versions of this game. One of the most interesting modes of this game is called Crazy Box. In this new mode, you have to complete missions is some sort of a tutorial fashion. These missions teach you new techniques that you will have to use later in the game. The graphics in this arcade like game are always smooth and flow very nicely. The graphics were definitely one of the upsides to this game. The audio was also very well done. Some of the artists featured on the soundtrack feature Bad Religion, Offspring, and other bands of that genre. The only flaws I could find in this game were the lack of options and the limited number of comments that the taxi driver and the customer said. Overall, Crazy Taxi was a very good game that I would recommend buying. Unless you don't like this sort of game, I think most people will enjoy it.
