Nintendo made a triumphant splash with the NES. Years after the 8-bit console, it's competitors got the early jump on and released it's 16-bit consoles. I remember going to the local department store and comparing the Sega Genesis and the Turbo Graphics 16. Now both were the next generation game consoles but sega had a huge line arcade line up that could be made into a home game. So I went with the Genesis system. The only upside I saw in the TG16 was the fact that it already had a cd player that could play cd games. That was cool back then.
A year or two later Nintendo entered the 16-bit wars with the SNES and took over the planet.Diddy Kong and Starfox could not be beat.
You old guys remember those consoles?
