Ok I'm not the greatest when it comes to pc's but I need some help. It turns out my computer has a trojan, and I'm not talking condoms, I already have norton antivirus, Spybot seek and destroy, and adaware. These programs can't remove trojans though, anybody know how to remove this pest or any site you could direct me too. I shall forever be in your debt.

I'm surprised Norton can't remove it. You might want to try another antivirus program, maybe McAfee or see if your ISP offers any for free (Time Warner gives out Computer Associates' software with cable modem, for example).

Do you know what trojan it is?

If you can't remove it... you're going to have to fdisk. Back up anything important, virus scan your backup, and start all over.

I had same trojan prob and same antivirus, nones worked. i had to have hd fomated :(
hope u get lucky

The above link seems to be a good method of removing the files. You'll need to open up Task manager (ctrl-Alt-Del) to "kill" the processes, click on the processes tab, find them, and hit 'end process'.

You might also want to try starting in safe mode and removing the files that way. Good luck!

[a]http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/trojan.horse.html[aa]Here's a linke from Norton[/a] about how to get rid of it..the steps involved.

It involves running Norton in safe mode and getting rid of any references in windows registry.
