I just watch all 4 eps, and i gotta say i was blown away. the animation and fight scenes where really well done, and while most might be turned off by the episodes being so short, i'm really kind of fond of condensed storytelling that gets right to the point. plus, if it was a full blown 25 ep series, then the animation wouldn't have been so slick. it's pretty much a prolouge to KOF: maximum impact 2. The animation was done by production i.g. with character designs by the one and only FALCOON . I also heard a rumor that the dvd will be packaged with maximum impact 2, which pretty much guarantees my future purchase.

has anybody else seen this yet?

As the other diehard KOF fan on the site, I too have seen Another Day. The fight scenes were indeed quite slick, but I kinda do wish that it was longer. I also wish there were more of the fights-we-want-to-see. Like an actual Terry/Rock vs. Billy, Iori vs. Kyo, etc. Too bad that a bunch of the characters shown in Another Day are being left out of Maximum Impact 2 (Ash isn't in it, Whip isn't, Heidern isn't, etc).

But I do like how Iori made Soiree his bitch.

Yeah, and Garou and Fatal Fury are giving KOF a run for their money over the dominant SNK series, and even KOF XI has two Fatal Fury teams (there's the Kim-Terry-Duck King and the B Jennet-Tizoc-Gatou teams).
