if u dont know what homebrew is, it is an unsigned code that is usually safe if it doesnt acces the flash (no its not the flash player 6 on the psp, its something that boots the psp, its complicated stuff) it can do unlimited things with it such as using your psp as a phone or a gps and also gba,gbc, and atari systems. it can even play N64! trust me it is awsome! it is free and don't buy a homebrew or a rom because if that site sells this stuff its a scam. seriously do! it is safe especially on 2.80 because it will never brick (destroy) your psp! but it might on lower firmwares if they mess around with the internal flash like playing illegal iso and custom firmwares.

the original. i updated to the newest firmware before you could do stuff with it. i knew it would happen as soon as i got rid of it.
