Are excited for GTA V on PC tomorrow?

There is most definitely a market here.

    DRM - yay or nay?

I'm not a fan of DRM, though I understand the perception where it would be necessary. It goes back, at least in the PC world, as long as I can remember. It used to be having to enter a particular word from a page in the manual - very frustrating if you ever lost that! So, perhaps, it's not...

What is your favourite type of game?

Right now, I'm totally for MMORPGs, but my heart is really in adventure games. The game has to have a story to keep my interest. Fallout, Assassin's Creed, Elder Scrolls, etc. And of course, Civilization. Which I have to be very careful with, because I could spend days on that one.

What PC game in your opinion has the best community?

I would have to say Kingdom of Loathing has the most welcoming and long-lasting community I have ever experienced with an online game. I've been playing the game for 10+ years and it's because of the community that I keep coming back. The game itself is fantastic, hilarious, and amazing - but...

I'm Thinking About Buying A Projector. Any Tips?

I'd strongly recommend going with an LED projector. They may be more expensive initially for the unit itself, but good god - the lamps on traditional projectors are EXPENSIVE when they burn out. http://www.projectorreviews.com/projector-categories/led-projectors/

What happened to the "Free Weekend weekends" Steam was supposed to offer?

What's the difference between a free weekend and a free weekend weekend - just the amount of games they have offered up for free?

Did you play in a computer lab?

Yes! Number Munchers FTW! I can still see that little green frog in my mind. Did anyone ever play Odell Lake? I remember that game giving me nightmares when the bigger fish would eat me.

How do you define a retro game?

I'm with OP - SNES is the cut-off for retro gaming. Pre-SNES (NES, Genesis, Neo-Geo, Atari etc.) is all 'retro'. SNES and newer up to the PS2/Xbox era is 'classic', the Xbox360/PS3 is 'modern', and the XboxOne/PS4 is 'next gen'. This is totally a legitimate categorization, says some random...

Do you remember you first ever computer console or system?

My first computer was a Commodore 64, complete with cassette tape storage and the couplers that attached to the handset of a rotary phone. This is where I first learn and grew addicted to programming because, holy crap - you can change the code and alter how the game works?! My first console...

Which is your favourite "old school" rpg?

I was a huge fan of Dragon Warrior original Legend of Zelda, and the original Final Fantasy - all for the 8-bit NES. OH! And who could forget StarTropics? Bashin' skulls with my yo-yo!

Older gamers? Remember when Pong came out?

I don't remember when Pong was released, however I *do* remember playing it on my Commodore 64 when I was .. 10? That was a long time ago and it's a bit hazy. I'm curious, though, about what your daughter classifies as an 'actual gamer'. ;)

    Adventure Time MOBA

I.. I can't even. How have I not known about this?! I haven't played the game, yet - but I'm going to now! Thank you for getting drunk and giving it a shot; I'd have never known, otherwise. How's Cosette these days?

    Best/Worst Video Game Movie Adaptations?

My favorites have been Prince of Persia and Tomb Raider. I really liked both movies, despite my reservations. The absolute worst would probably have to be Doom or Super Mario Bros. I shutter at the memories of those two atrocities. I would be stoked to hear if Watchdogs was to become a...

Parents: Do you follow the rating labels when buying a game for kids?

I'm right there with you. For my kids - sure, supervision is fine. My wife and my 8-year-old play CoD together, so we already don't follow the ratings. However, with someone else's kids? I'll err on the side of caution and only let them play E-rated games. I've explained to my kids the...

    Dual monitors?

I actually have 3 at home and a dual-screen set up at work. I'm also one of those people that can't ever go back to one screen. At home, I have a 28' monitor in the center, and two 20' monitors rotated vertically on both sides. It's helpful for emails/texts on the left and IM's, monitoring...
