D3Publisher gets “Flushed” with Dreamworks

D3Publisher of America is one of the smaller publishers in the games industry. Despite their work on Shonen Jump?s fairly decent anime Naruto and Cartoon Network?s staple Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi, D3Publisher has yet to become a household name, but a new high-profile agreement may put them on the map.

D3Publisher of America has entered an agreement with DreamWorks Animation SKG to produce a videogames based on their upcoming computer animated feature film, Flushed Away. The game will be a 3rd person action-platformer, and will include environments and characters unique to the game. Flushed Away tells the story of a snobbish pet rat that gets flushed down the toilet, ending up in the sewer world of Ratropolis.

The first games are scheduled for release to coincide with the film release on November 3, 2006 on the Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance platforms.
