Better QOTD:
Who'd win in a fight? A duck or a penguin?

I like the word woodchuck better, because it sounds kinda silly.
And I'd actually say that a duck would win. Better mobility. And they can fly.

I think it's the first half. Knowledge goes a long way towards preparation.
And it's always nice to feel appreciated, Alex. Thanks.

the first part is getting past ignorance, the second is getting past stupidity.

But ignorance is bliss (I can attest to that). Why would you want to give up bliss?

Ah, ignorance is only blissful for those lucky enough to not have what I call the Epistemic Burden. Some who have it have mixed feelings but are able to cope or otherwise transmute it into something affirming, while some are crippled by it.
The other half is the marriage of pure animal instincts, application of knowledge, innate skill, and dynamic adaptation. Yeah.
