I haven't played online, but I think the level of detail, thought, and care that went into recreating Liberty City is second to none. I love the little details like people taking smoke breaks, the superb hit/collision detection, and the dialogue (which IMO has always been A+ work even in the PSP games). The driving (e-break to be more specific) takes some getting used to. I like the free and lock-on aiming system too.
I do have some problems with GTA 4 like when you're driving around, every other car on the road is a copy of the one you're in. But what I've hated since GTA 3 is still present in this next-gen Grand Theft Auto. I can't stand it when for whatever reason you are on foot and need/want a car, and suddenly there are no cars anywhere to be found. No one driving around, no parked cars, no nothing. This really does bother me. That's one of my main problems with the franchise that I wish Rockstar would've fixed.
