Codemasters names new President

Codemasters has promoted Marc Bennett to the company’s position as president, according to a press release issued today. The announcement was made earlier today by Codemasters’ CEO Nick Wheelwright, to whom Bennett will also report to. Bennett will now be in in charge of all sales, marketing, and business developement activities for North America.

“We are thrilled to have Marc as an integral member of our senior management team” said Wheelwright. “He is a proven industry veteran and has added tremendous value to our North American operations. We look forward to continuing our strong momentum in the US and feel Marc has the perfect background to take Codemasters to the next level.”

With Bennett at the helm, Codemasters will continue to expand its publishing abilities in the United States through the extension of its franchises and development of original properties.

Bennett joined the staff at Codemasters in 2003 with experience in the interactive entertainment industry, and most recently was the General Manager of North America for the company. Prior to that, Bennett spent seven years at Activision serving in a variety of business positions.
