Club Nintendo February 2015 – Coming To An End

Going Out of Business Sale –

Starting February 2, 2015, Nintendo is offering more than 100 digital downloadable games through the final months of Club Nintendo. These are not just Virtual Console games, but full 3DS, Wii and Wii U games! There are also a bunch of new physical rewards too like a retro Mario t-shirt and Fierce Deity Link puzzle.

The important thing to remember are the expiration dates. You have until 6-30-15 to spend all your Coins. Also, Nintendo is giving all Club Nintendo members a code for a free download of Flipnote Studio 3D by the end of the first week of February – check your To-Do list when you log in.

Here at myGamer, we have been following and logging the Club Nintendo program for the last few years. Most of the games below have been offered at some point before. However, there are few highlights that have never been available until now like Kid Icarus: Uprising, Star Fox 64 3D, the sequel to Dillon’s Rolling Western, New Super Mario Bros. 2, and The Wonderful 101.

Club Nintendo Games

Disappointingly, I was personally hoping for new offerings like Mario Tennis (GBC), the Oracle Zelda games (GBC), and more GBA games. But, when it comes to free games, we really shouldn’t complain.

Well I suppose atleast this is an opportunity to pick up that paper mario 64 that I’ve had on my radar.

Not sure if I should feel sad about this though, never really used the service that much

Similar to you, I was hoping there would be offers before the club ended. It has been a good run for the Nintendo company. To be honest, the promotions they had were great. I just have to find a way to spend my coins now.

It’s certainly nice to see lots of older titles being put on offer to cater to nostalgic gamers, but some of the coin prices are actually pretty steep given the age of the game. Also there are some titles which aren’t particularly well-known or well-received.

It would be a really cool gesture from Nintendo to extend its offers to include “bundles” of these games put together at a further discounted price.

I myself love the Club Nintendo rewards and I am deeply saddened this programme is coming to an end. I have heard that they will launch a similar programme in the future. This last gasp of rewards that launched are awesome, but sadly I don’t have many remaining points so I couldn’t redeem any of them. I do hope that all Nintendo fans with remaining Club Nintendo points used these points to get one of these cool rewards.

  5. All things must come to an end, I suppose. Club nintendo certainly did a good job of organizing its ‘last hurrah’. You really can’t complain when you’re given free games.

Truly sad to hear this, this is something that’s been around for a while and I’m sure it’s going to be hard for everyone to scramble and try to use of their coins. But at least there’s plenty of free games, keep that in mind.

    nooooooo, say it isn’t soooooo.
Another loss for the grand old school. It just disappoints to see something that has been there for quite some time, come to an end. But as the old go – so the new may come.
